Historical Harp Collection, Vol.

Introduction
This book is a collection of popular cantigas and
renaissance dances arranged for harp, playable on historical, lever and pedal
harps. Harpists will recognize pieces from Respighi's "Ancient Airs and
Dances", transcribed here from the lute manuscript.
The book is also a guide for learning more about early
music:
- Useful notes on sources and performance practice
- Renaissance Dance section
- Ornamentation is written into the arrangements
- 14 solos; 2 three-part ensembles
I have performed many of these arrangements on renaissance
harp, in concerts with the chamber group, Renaissonics. I also play these
pieces daily as part of my set at Tea at the Ritz in Boston, on pedal harp.
The ensemble arrangements have been performed by groups in
Washington D.C. (WAFHS), New Jersey (Somerset Festival), New Mexico(Canterbury
Harp Circle), Oklahoma (Neosho River Music & Harp Symposium), and Texas
(Gulf Coast Harpers FayettevilleWeekend).
